https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-internal-resistance-of-a-1-5V-D-cell-I-have-an-answer-of-2-Ohms-but-it-does-not-seem-rightAs a very crude test, I just took an old D cell I have lying around. I have no idea how old it is, and open circuit it only reads 1.4 v, so is hardly “fresh”. Shorting it (briefly!) with a test meter gave a reading of just over 3 A, suggesting an IR of around 0.4 ohms. Treat that as an indication rather than an accurate figure!
Groet, Jan
